And shame on you Russell Crowe especially. You are an actor who people find it hard to name a bad movie that you have made. Well. you have made up for it in spades by associating yourself with this pathetic excuse for a Ned Kelly movie. What were you thinking. Why, why, why would you call it TRUE story of Ned Kelly. Of ALL the Ned kelly movies ever made, this is the FURTHEREST from the truth EVER.
NONE of the story was true and if you are going to make a movie which has NO TRUE events recreated in it, THEN DONT USE REAL NAMES OF REAL BUSHRANGERS! Just call it "Cross Dressing Bushrangers and other dumb crap that you WILL regret watching" then you will actually be setting the viewer up for what they are really about to see.
Every single person who waited soo long for this and were so excited to see the starring actors pull off a rip snorting job and do Australia proud, should be compensated for their time wasted on this total BS rot.
Readers of these reviews, do youself a favour and steer well clear of this total s h 1 tee. Pathetic.

At 34 minutes I started looking at the reviews on IMDB to see if I was missing something. I wasn"t. I know it was meant to be satire and entirely untruthful but I really don"t know why it was even made. I scrolled to 1h45m. My views haven"t improved. I can"t say any more without spoilers, which wouldn"t be worth their kilt anyway. They"re still doing the Vimeo film school look? In a 90+ minute filem that"s made to be shown in theatres. Ned Kelly is not considered a hero in Australia. Only the uneducated consider that to be so. The vast majority see him as a psychopathic murderer, who held up banks, took hostages and put them in harms way at Glenrowan. The myths say he represented poor Irish settlers, when in fact he often stole their only horse ensuring that they would almost certainly go bankrupt. He admitted to having stolen more than 280 horses, let alone other stock and most of those horses were from poor Irish Catholics. He was a stand over thug, and a compulsive liar. See below the type of person Ned Kelly was as the leader of the Greta mob, who drove a poor man off his land. This behaviour was part of their modus operandi. GRETA THUGS. Jacob Wilson a poor farmer who lived next door to Tom Lloyd was driven off his land by the thuggery of Ned Kelly and his supporters. He was threatened with death on numerous occasions because the police had visited, and he had sold them hay for their horses while them camped overnight. The Kelly thugs made his life hell. James Quinn and John Hart threatened him and in fear of his life he was chased by Tom Lloyd and Dan Kelly with others and was forced to hide in a tree all night. Charlie Hunnam must be one of the worst actors of all time when it comes to accents. Even from that short clip it was obvious that it was a terrible attempt at whatever accent he was trying to do.

Russell Crowe to star in rebooted 2017 film the Mummy by Scott Derrickson. What can I add that hasn"t already been said by other reviewers. This is probably the most disgraceful movie I have ever seen come out of Australia. As most reviewers have not gone passed the first 40 minutes I am wondering how I got to the end. Guess I was just curious to see how bad it could get. What I was also shocked to see was the actor playing Ned Kelly is actually one of the leads in 1917. The language, the sex, the gay themes, the people and their actions are all so degrading.
As for this being a STAN ORIGINAL it is even worse than some of the NETFLIX ORIGINALS.
How much you wanna make the movie antlers scary? Yes.
